CF1R & LMCC Reports — What They Are

California Title 24 has two main energy-compliance documents. We prepare both — so whatever your project, you're covered in one place.

CF1R

Certificate of Compliance — Residential

The CF1R is California's official Title 24, Part 6 energy-compliance document for residential projects — single-family homes, ADUs, additions, and remodels. It proves your design meets the state's energy-efficiency standards before a permit can be issued.

LMCC

Low-Rise Multifamily Compliance Certificate

The LMCC is the Title 24 energy-compliance document used for low-rise multifamily projects — duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, and apartment buildings up to three stories. Same purpose as the CF1R, tailored for multi-unit residences.

When are they used & why does the state require them?

You'll need a CF1R or LMCC any time you build new, add on, or significantly remodel a residential structure in California. Local building departments require a stamped report before issuing a permit — it's how the California Energy Commission verifies your project meets Title 24, Part 6, the state energy code that keeps homes efficient, lowers utility bills, and helps California hit its climate targets.

Reports are prepared using California Energy Commission (CEC)–approved compliance software and are accepted by building departments statewide.

    We collect nothing beyond what is needed. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data — ever.

    8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

    You have the right to know what data we hold, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. We do not sell data — already protected. To exercise CCPA rights email: info@title24comply.com. We respond within 45 days.

    9. Google Analytics

    We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, time on site, button clicks). No personal project or payment information is sent to Google. Analytics data is anonymous and aggregated. You can opt out via Google Analytics Opt-out.
