To prepare your Title 24 compliance report accurately, your energy analyst needs enough information about the building design to model it in CEC-approved compliance software. The more complete your documents, the faster and more accurate your report will be.
Documents we typically need
- Architectural floor plans showing room dimensions and layout
- Wall, roof, and floor construction details (or notes specifying insulation type and R-value)
- Window schedule showing size, quantity, and location
- Project address (we determine your climate zone from this)
- Intended HVAC system type (central AC, mini-split, heat pump, etc.)
Helpful but not always required
- Building elevations showing window placement
- Mechanical plans if available
- Product specifications for windows or HVAC equipment already selected
Do I need final construction documents?
No. Preliminary plans are accepted. You do not need final, stamped construction documents to place your order. Many of our clients submit early-stage drawings. If your plans change after we complete the report, we can issue a revision — minor changes are typically included at no cost.
